Defence Minister Rajnath Singh is scheduled to attend the Mahashivratri celebrations at the Isha Yoga Centre in Coimbatore on Sunday (February 15, 2026). The night-long programme will be led by Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev, founder of the Isha Foundation.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting and Parliamentary Affairs L. Murugan are among the other dignitaries scheduled to be present.
According to the organisers, the Mahashivratri programme at the Isha Yoga Centre will be broadcast live for around 12 hours from 6 p.m. on February 15. The event will be streamed in 23 Indian and foreign languages on television channels and digital platforms and is expected to reach more than 140 million viewers worldwide.
The programme will commence with the Pancha Bhuta Kriya at the Dhyanalinga, followed by the Linga Bhairavi Maha Yatra. Musical performances by folk and contemporary artistes are scheduled through the night.
One of the key segments will be Adiyogi Divya Darshanam, a light and sound presentation at the 112-foot Adiyogi statue. Sadhguru will lead the Mahamantra initiation at midnight and guide a meditation session during Brahma Muhurtam.
