Inauguration ceremony
Nadar Saraswathi College of Arts and Science, School of Management Studies, and Entrepreneurship Development Cell organised the inauguration of the Business Incubation Centre. Vasantha Selvam, Chief Executive Officer, EDII Periyakulam Horti-Business Incubation Forum, Horticulture College and Research Institute, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Periyakulam, was the chief guest.
Speaking at the event Mr. Vasantha Selvam said that incubation centres act as a bridge between academics and industry, offering mentorship, resources, and guidance for building entrepreneurs.
Assistant Professor, School of Management Studies, J.Rabaccarani proposed a vote of thanks. The program benefited 807 students and 42 faculty members of NSCAS.
Skill training programme
Thassim Beevi Abdul Kader College for Women (TBAKC), Kilakarai, conducted a five-day NSQF-aligned soft skills training programme under the DBT Star College Scheme, in collaboration with the Centro de Terapia Familiar Fase II, Valencia, Spain.
Over 103 higher education teachers participated in the sessions, which focused on WHO-recommended life skills. The programme supported NEP 2020 and UN SDG-4 by strengthening academic–industry skill integration.
Training was delivered using the deepest experiential method, blending psychological approaches such as psychoanalysis and CBT through role plays and group activities.
International experts Annette Kreuz Smolinski and Sumit Dutta arranged this event.

The lamp lighting and oath-taking ceremony for the new-admission students of Syed Ammal School of Nursing was held, symbolising the initiation of first-year nursing students into the noble profession of healthcare.
Speaking at the event, correspondent Chinnadurai Abdullah encouraged the students to uphold the highest standards of compassion, care, and professional ethics.
Chief guest Dr. S. A. K. Noor Mohamed, Consultant Nephrologist, Government Medical College Hospital, Ramanathapuram, highlighted the growing importance of trained and dedicated nurses in the evolving healthcare landscape and urged the students to continuously upgrade their skills.
The ceremonial lamps were lit, signifying knowledge, purity, and the students’ pledge to serve humanity. Principal Julie Nesamani administered the professional oath.
Faculty Dharani proposed a vote of thanks.

NPR Group of Institutions inaugurated the NextGen Innovation at NPR College of Engineering and Technology, which aims to foster research, innovation, and hands-on technological advancement among students, encouraging them to develop industry-ready skills in robotics, automation, AI, and emerging technologies.

After inaugurating the centre, chief guest R. Dharmar, Managing Director and Robotics Engineer, DMW Robotics India Private Limited, Coimbatore, emphasised the importance of innovation-driven education and the growing opportunities in robotics and automation industries.

The Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2025 – Software Edition valedictory ceremony was held at PSNACET, Dindigul, marking the completion of the 36-hour national hackathon hosted by the institution as a Nodal Centre.
Speaking at the event, chief guest Venkatesan Balakrishnan, CEO of SPEC Innovations LLP and PSNACET alumnus, urged students to pursue innovation with clarity and commitment.
Four teams emerged as winners at the Smart India Hackathon 2025 – Software Edition following an intense 36-hour coding challenge. The winning teams were AXEFORTUNE and GLITCH CODERS (TGC) from St. Joseph’s College of Engineering and Technology, Chennai; Hackmonks06 from Datta Meghe College of Engineering, Mumbai; and INNOHACK from the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Pune.

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering of Kamaraj College of Engineering and Technology (KCET), Virudhunagar, organised a two-day AICTE–VAANI sponsored conference on ‘Viksit Bharat 2047: Innovations in Clean Energy for a Sustainable Future and Resilient India’, which aimed to promote scientific communication in Tamil and bring together leading to discuss advancements in clean energy technologies and sustainable development.
Eight expert-led technical sessions addressed crucial clean energy domains.
All sessions were delivered in Tamil, enabling broader participation from faculty, researchers, and rural scholars.
The conference attracted participants from various institutions. It also promoted bilingual (Tamil–English) technical content, encouraging accessible knowledge dissemination.

The Department of Economics of G.T.N. Arts College organised an industrial visit to the Chalk Piece Making Industry at Kathiranampatti, near Dindigu.
During the visit, students learned about various aspects of industrial operations, including production technology, cost structure, pricing, marketing strategies, labour management, and overall economic functioning of small-scale industries.
The industrial visit proved to be highly beneficial in enhancing students’ practical knowledge, entrepreneurial skills, and economic understanding.
