A free eye screening camp was organised by Pfizer Healthcare India Pvt Ltd., in collaboration with the Sankar Foundation, under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, at Pedamushidiwada in Parawada mandal, Anakapalle district on Wednesday.
Doctors Y. Lakshmi and M. Pravalika from the Sankar Foundation screened 523 patients at the camp. Spectacles were prescribed for 380 of them, and 342 were given glasses on the spot. Spectacles would be delivered to the remaining beneficiaries soon. Cataract surgeries and procedures were recommended for 55 patients and 174 patients were given medicines.
