The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has cancelled a building permission issued for a property in Guttala Begumpet after officials found that LRS documents submitted for the permit were issued in the names of other persons.
A police case has also been registered at the Madhapur Police Station following a complaint by the Deputy Commissioner of CMC Circle-50. The complaint names Shaik Mastan and alleges that he obtained permission through TG-bPASS by submitting documents unrelated to Plot No. 55 in Survey No. 32 and without the mandatory Urban Land Ceiling (ULC) clearance certificate.
The issue came to light after a complaint was submitted to the Deputy Commissioner’s office in Kukatpally Zone, Madhapur Circle-50. The complainant claimed that his brother was the rightful owner of the plot.
During verification, municipal officials found that the LRS documents submitted as part of the building permission application was issued in the names of other individuals. Officials also found that only a ULC acknowledgment had been submitted instead of the required ULC clearance certificate. The building permission was subsequently cancelled.
Officials later found that construction activity was allegedly being continued at the site despite the cancellation. They warned that action would be taken in accordance with the law if construction continued without a valid building permission.
The police case includes allegations of submitting fake or invalid LRS documents, obtaining building permission without the mandatory ULC clearance certificate, concealing facts while securing the permit and attempting to continue construction after the permission was cancelled.
Police are examining the LRS and ULC records, documents submitted for the building permission and details of the construction carried out at the site as part of the investigation.
