Experts who took part in a panel discussion on Budget-2026 at GM University in Davanagere on February 2 were of the opinion that the Union Budget 2026 is a vital step toward sustainable development.
In the panel discussion jointly hosted by the GM Business School and the Department of Commerce and Management, the experts analysed key aspects of the budget, including tax reforms, infrastructure development, digital economy initiatives, and their impact on the general public.
Chief Accounts Officer of GM Institutions Ashok Kumar highlighted the budget’s focus on education and employment generation.
Partner at Fin Services, Sharanabasaveshwar, spoke on investment trends and economic stability, while Senior Manager, Indian Bank, Peter M. explained technological advancements in banking and their influence on loan facilities. Chartered Accountants Yashwant Lathor and Anil Kumar elaborated on the changes in the new income tax regime and concessions extended to businesses.
Director of GM Business School and Faculties of Commerce and Management, GM University, Professor Shivakumar S., and Dean Professor D. Ravinath, along with other deans, directors, heads of departments, and hundreds of students participated in the discussion.
