A 25-year-old man was injured in a suspected leopard attack inside a school in Kotagiri on Tuesday night.
The injured person was identified as J. Dev Bahadur, an IT employee working in Bengaluru. He was visiting his father, Janak Bahadur, who was employed as a security guard in a private school in Kotagiri. Dev Bahadur was staying with his family inside the school premises and had ventured out on Tuesday night to attend an online meeting.
While returning home, a leopard is said to have chased his dog and attacked Dev Bahadur, causing injuries to his face, head and arm. He was rushed to the Udhagamandalam Medical College and Hospital and is currently undergoing treatment. Further investigation into the incident is ongoing.
