Mangalore University to present 162 Ph.D. degrees during 44th convocation on March 28

Mangalore University will present 162 Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degrees at its 44th convocation in Mangalagangotri on Saturday. In addition, 56 gold medals and 57 cash prizes will be awarded.

Addressing presspersons at the university on Friday, the Vice-Chancellor P. L. Dharma said that of the candidates who will receive their Ph.D. degrees, 74 (45.67%) are women and 88 (54.32%) are men. Of them, 10 men and a woman are foreign nationals. Of the total candidates, 40 are from Arts stream, 92 from Science, 25 from Commerce and five from Education streams.
