The Kunnamangalam police have registered a case against Georgekutty Jacob, chief executive officer (CEO) of the Milma Malabar Union, following a complaint alleging that important documents and files were removed from the union’s office at Peringalam.
The first information report was registered on a complaint by Milma administrator Varkey George.
According to the complaint, crucial documents relating to alleged financial irregularities in the Milma Malabar Union were removed from the office on September 18 and 19.
The alleged disappearance of the files came up days after the government dissolved the existing board of the Malabar Union following the detection of alleged irregularities. An inquiry was also launched into the incident.
According to sources, the police have initiated further proceedings in the case. A detailed statement from the administrator would be recorded soon as part of efforts to recover the missing files.
