A total of 4,42,070 people have submitted Form 6/6A applications seeking inclusion as electors between December 19, when the claims and objections period began, and December 27.

On Saturday (December 27, 2025) alone more than 2.56 lakh people visited polling stations across Tamil Nadu to submit Form 6 applications for inclusion in the electoral rolls, following the Election Commission of India’s organisation of booth-level special camps.

These special camps were held on Saturday (December 27) and Sunday (December 28) and will be conducted again on January 3 and 4, 2026. These special camps were meant to help citizens submit claims and objections following the publication of the draft electoral rolls on December 19 as part of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR).

The claims and objections period will remain open until January 18, 2026.

According to the official data, a total of 4,741 persons submitted Form 7 seeking exclusion of ineligible voters. In addition, nearly 2.72 lakh Booth Level Agents (BLAs) appointed by six national and six State parties are assisting in the process. As of December 27, the BLAs of the DMK and the AIADMK submitted 24 applications each for inclusion, while the AIADMK and the BJP submitted 63 and one form, respectively, for exclusion.

So far, no applications have been submitted for either inclusion or exclusion by any person apart from the electors of that Assembly segment. The Election Commission had published the draft electoral rolls for Tamil Nadu on December 19 in which nearly 97.37 lakh electors, out of 6.41 crore, were deleted, bringing down the total electoral to 5.43 crore.
