Palani land case: CB-CID gets custody of accused

The Dindigul Principal District and Sessions Court on Tuesday granted the CB-CID custody of document writer Jeyaprakash, one of the accused in the case of the fraudulent registration of Palani math land.

Sessions Judge V. Padmanabhan granted the probe agency the custody of the accused till September 24. The CB-CID had filed an application before the court seeking permission to take the custody of the accused for questioning.

Jeyaprakash, who is currently lodged in Madurai Central Prison, was brought to Dindigul and produced before the court. Earlier, the Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court had dismissed his bail petition.
