Pankaj Kumar Meena assumes charge as Markapuram’s first SP

Pankaj Kumar Meena officially took charge as the first Superintendent of Police (SP) of Markapuram district on Thursday. The IPS officer outlined key priorities including public safety, road accident prevention along major highway routes, land dispute resolutions, and women’s safety after assuming charge.

On the occasion, he expressed his gratitude to the Chief Minister and the Director General of Police (DGP) following his first stint as SP. The SP stated that he would give the highest priority to law and order and warned that legal action would be initiated against those violating it. Stating that land-related issues in Markapuram district had been brought to his attention, he assured to consult with Revenue officials and make efforts to resolve them.

The SP further said that road accidents occured frequently in the district due to the prevalence of ghat roads, and assured special attention for their prevention. He emphasised that top priority would be given to women’s safety and added that the public could contact him any time with information. He also gathered details from the DSPs, CIs, and SIs within the Markapuram and Kanigiri sub-divisions.

He affirmed that all necessary measures would be taken to provide better services to the public and that he would always be accessible to address public grievances.
