Parakram Diwas celebrated at PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya Idukki

The 129th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose was celebrated as Parakram Diwas at PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV) Idukki, on Friday. One hundred students from six local schools participated in the event.

According to officials, the programme aimed to inspire young minds by delving into the valorous narrative of Operation Sindoor, providing them insight into the nation’s bold measures to combat terrorism and uphold sovereignty and security.

The participating schools included PM SHRI KV Idukki, De Paul Public School Rajamudi, JNV Kulamavu, St. Thomas Public School Karimban, EMRS Kuyilimala, and St. George HSS Vazhathope. The Principal of PM SHRI KV Idukki, Agimon A. Chellamcott, inaugurated the programme.

During the quiz competition, students showcased their extensive knowledge of national history. Anushka Vini of PM SHRI KV Idukki bagged the first position, while Muhammed Safi Afsal of JNV Kulamavu secured second place. Diya Anna Sanu of De Paul Public School, Rajamudi, took third. Madhusudhanan J., Principal of EMRS Kuyilimala, distributed certificates to the winners at the closing ceremony.

Officials noted that the event successfully ignited patriotism and raised awareness about Netaji’s extraordinary legacy, instilling national pride through the inspiring history of India’s defence operations.
