A salesperson at a ration shop in Tiruppattur in Sivaganga district was placed under suspension following disappearance of rice and sugar stocks.

Officials from the Cooperative Department conducted an inspection at the ration shop located on Pudukkottai Road in Tiruppattur a few days ago.

During the audit, it was discovered that the actual stock of rice, wheat, sugar, and palm oil packets fell short of what was recorded in the account registers.

Following this, an order was issued to place the shop salesperson, Balasubramanian, under suspension.
