The Andhra Pradesh Power Trends Magazine volume 2 was formally unveiled by Andhra Pradesh Central Power Distribution Company Limited (APCPDCL) CMD and Andhra Pradesh Power Generation Corporation (AP Genco) MD P. Pulla Reddy at the APCPDCL headquarters in Vijayawada on Tuesday. The event was attended by senior officials, including M. Sujay Kumar, Director (Hydal), and Usha, Director (HR).
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Pulla Reddy said the in-house magazine serves as a valuable platform for engineers and professionals to stay updated on the latest developments and technological advancements in the power sector. He emphasised the need to include innovative projects and technical insights in future editions to enhance knowledge-sharing within the department.
Highlighting the State’s growing energy needs, he noted that Andhra Pradesh recently recorded a peak power demand of 14,011 MW and daily consumption of 264.65 MU, the highest since bifurcation. He assured that the government and power utilities were well-prepared to meet future demand without compromising reliability.
The APSEB Engineers’ Association congratulated contributors and appreciated the efforts of the technical committee in bringing out the publication successfully.
