Revanth briefs Rahul on Telangana’s political situation

HYDERABAD

Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president B. Mahesh Kumar Goud received Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) and travelled with him to Hotel Falaknuma Palace on Saturday.

During the journey, Mr. Revanth Reddy and Mr. Goud briefed Mr. Gandhi on the latest political situation in the State. The duo informed him about the Congress party’s victory in the recent Jubilee Hills Assembly byelection and the strong performance of party-backed candidates in the first phase of the ongoing Gram Panchayat elections.

Mr. Gandhi has reportedly expressed satisfaction with the performance of the State government and the party. Mr. Gandhi was here to meet football legend Lionel Messi, who is visiting India as part of the GOAT India tour.
