South Central Railway being awarded ‘National Energy Conservation Awards – 2025’ on Tuesday.

South Central Railway (SCR) was bestowed with four National Energy Conservation (NEC) Awards for the year 2025 with General Manager Sanjay Kumar Srivastava receiving the award for ‘Best Performing Unit’ for Diesel Traction Training Centre (DTTC), Guntakal in ‘Buildings category/Government buildings sector’ from President Droupadi Murmu in New Delhi on Tuesday.
The other awards are — Certificate of Merit each for Raichur railway station, Kacheguda railway station and Lingampalli railway station. Principal chief electrical engineer Brij Mohan Meena, Chief electrical general engineer K. Nagendra Prasad, DRM – Guntakal Chandra Shekar Gupta, DRM – Hyd Santosh Kumar Verma, DRM – Secunderabad R. Gopalakrishnan and other senior officers also attended the function and received awards for stations in their jurisdiction, said a press release.
