The Puducherry government has suspended Superintendent of Police A. Subramanian for alleged sexual misconduct with a woman head constable while he was serving in Karaikal region of the Union Territory.
He was suspended following the findings of an Internal Complaints Committee of the Police Department after the woman constable raised allegations against the SP of misconduct. The ICC found the charges prima facie true and hence the officer has been placed under suspension, a source in the department saidÂ
