Karnataka Nataka Academy, in association with Rangayana Shivamogga and the Havyasi Rangatandagala Kalavidara Sangha of Shivamogga, has invited theatre troupes to take part in a short-play competition (kiru nataka spardhe) to be held at Kuvempu Rangamandira in Shivamogga on March 27.
The organisations have joined hands to conduct a competition to mark World Theatre Day, celebrated every year on March 27. Interested groups can participate in the competition with their plays, which should have a duration of 10 to 15 minutes and involve at least two to a maximum of ten actors.
The best plays will receive prizes of ₹5,000, ₹4,000, and ₹3,000. Those interested in participating in the competition can register their troupes by paying a fee of ₹250 before March 20, according to a press release. For more information, contact: 94481-38183, 98445-18866 or 94484-14752.
