With the Winter Schedule 2026 slated to come into effect later this month, several new routes — both international and domestic — will commence at the Kempegowda International Airport (KIA).
New European destination
On the international front, a new destination to Europe will become operational from October 28 onwards as Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS) will launch non-stop flights between Bengaluru and Zurich five days a week.
This new non-stop flight service is expected to offer seamless travel between south India and Zurich, with onward connections across Europe and North America through the Lufthansa Group network, which operates SWISS.
Lufthansa already operates direct flights to Frankfurt and Munich from Bengaluru. With this, Bengaluru will have direct flight service to six European cities.
Direct flights
Apart from the above destinations, there are direct flights from Bengaluru to London, Paris, and Amsterdam.
Qantas is also likely to restart direct flights between Bengaluru and Sydney later this month. The airline had temporarily suspended direct flights between the two cities from August to October due to high fuel prices.
Air India Express, which has announced its winter schedule, will add a new route between Bengaluru and Kathmandu, and flights will operate seven times a week. On the domestic front, the airline added four new routes between Bengaluru and Coimbatore, Bengaluru and Goa (Mopa), Bengaluru and Jodhpur, and Bengaluru and Madurai.
Regional airline FLY91 will introduce a new twice-weekly Tirupati-Bengaluru service, operating on Wednesdays and Sundays.
From Mangaluru
From Mangaluru International airport, Air India Express will introduce flight service to new routes. The airline will operate direct flights to Kuwait three times a week and to Ras Al Khaimah twice a week. It will also add three flights a week from Hyderabad to Mangaluru.
