Tiruchi ordnance factory conducts cleanliness campaign

The Ordnance Factory, Tiruchi, observed Swachhata Pakhwada-2025 – cleanliness campaign- from December 1 to 15.

Activities such as cleanliness drive in and around OFT premises, disposal of scrap and e-waste, collection and safe disposal of single-use plastics, fumigation in residential areas, segregation and weeding of old files and tree plantation drive within the OFT estate were carried out under the Swachh Bharat Mission.

Employees, children and residents actively participated in the planting of saplings across the estate. In order to promote awareness through creativity, various competitions such as drawing, essay writing and a marathon were organised for employees and school children.

The Swachhata Pakhwada 2025 celebration concluded with an address by Chief General Manager, Ordnance Factory, Tiruchi, Sanjay Shrivastava, who emphasised the importance of cleanliness, collective responsibility and environmental stewardship, a press release said.
