Two youths were killed in an accident after their two-wheeler hit a school compound here in the early hours of Tuesday (February 3, 2026).
The deceased were identified as M. Praveen (19) of Maravapalayam near Paramathi Velur, a second year student and T. Karthick (19), a resident of Vettukattu Pudur.
On Monday night, the duo went to the car festival of Balasubramaniar Temple in Kabilarmalai on a two-wheeler.
While they were returning back home, Karthick, who drove the vehicle, lost control and and hit the compound wall of Government Boys Higher Secondary School near the Paramathi Police Station. In the accident, the duo sustained grievous injuries and died on the spot. The police sent the bodies to Paramathi Government Hospital and registered a case.
