Vizag Steel Plant breathes sigh of relief as LPG supply resumes

At a time when domestic consumers are increasingly worried about a potential shortage of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) due to the war in West Asia, major industrial players like the RINL-Visakhapatnam Steel Plant (RINL-VSP) are also feeling the heat.

The steel giant is a significant consumer of the fuel, and requires at least 12 to 13 tonnes of LPG daily to power its Continuous Casting Machines (CCM) at the Steel Melting Shop (SMS) units. The LPG gas is essential for cutting the massive steel blooms.
