Senior citizen killed after an iron gate falls on him in Tiruvottiyur

A senior citizen working as a security guard was killed after an iron gate at the factory fell on him in Tiruvottiyur on Monday. 

City Police said Kumarasamy was a resident of Manali Pudhunagar and was working as a security guard in a private factory located in an industrial park in Vichoor. On Monday Kumarasamy was engaged in the night shift duty. When he tried to close the front gate of the factory, the iron gate along with concrete pillar fell him. He was killed on the spot. 

Manali police sent the body to Government Stanley Hospital for postmortem and have filed a case.
