Public witnesses summoned to testify in RCB stampede case

The district administration has initiated a formal inquiry into the stampede that occurred during the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) victory celebration at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on June 4.

As part of the investigation being conducted by Bengaluru Urban District Commissioner and District Magistrate Jagadeesh G., members of the public and media who were present during the incident and possess direct knowledge or evidence have been invited to testify.

They can appear in person and submit their statements on Friday at 11 a.m. at the District Magistrate’s Court Hall in the Bengaluru Urban District Office on Kempegowda Road, Bengaluru.They must bring two copies of a notarized written affidavit detailing their account of the incident, the release stated.
