The BJP has accused party’s three time MLA T. Raja Singh’s of making baseless allegations against the party about being denied an opportunity to contest the State president’s post stating that he did not have endorsement of 10 state executive council members as is mandated by the election rules.
Party spokeswoman Rani Rudrama Devi told the media at the State office that Mr. Raja Singh had violated the party discipline many times in the past and was even suspended by the party. “Yet he was given many opportunities but this time he crossed all limits by resorting to lies and making false accusations against the party just because he knew he did not have the 10 signatures to endorse his candidature,” she said.
“Mr. Raja Singh has given his resignation to party president G. Kishan Reddy and it will be sent to national president J.P. Nadda later. But, if he really wanted to quit as MLA, he can send the letter to the Speaker of the Legislature Assembly,” she remarked.
