The condition of former Kerala Chief Minister V.S. Achuthanandan, who was admitted to a private hospital in the city after a cardiac arrest, continues to remain critical, hospital sources said.

A medical bulletin issued by the hospital on Friday (July 4) said his health condition remains the same.

The Communist veteran is on ventilator support and is undergoing dialysis, the bulletin added.

The 101-year-old Achuthanandan was admitted to the hospital after a cardiac arrest and age-related ailments on June 23.

A team of expert doctors is monitoring his health condition, hospital sources added.
