A 26 year old woman from Melmidalam allegedly died by suicide on July 4 (Friday). A suicide note was recovered, police said.
According to police the deceased has been identified as R. Jebila Mary, 26 from Melmidalam. She was found dead n her room by her husband Mariya Nithinraj on Friday afternoon. He reportedly tried to break open the door, when Jabila Mary was not answering his calls. Shocked to find her unconscious, Mariya Nithinraj and his mother rushed her to a private hospital in Krugal, where doctors declared her dead on arrival. Her body was later transferred to Government Medical College in Asaripallam for post mortem examination..
An official from the police department said that preliminary post mortem reports show no suspicions in her death. However, samples have been sent for chemical analysis for further investigation. The official also confirmed that a suicide note was recovered from her home
A case has been registered at Karungal police station and further investigations are on.
