The Thousand Lights All Women Police arrested two persons, including a 27-year-old woman, for sexually assaulting a woman from Vellore on Saturday.
A senior official of the City Police said a 23-year-old woman from Vellore and a young woman from Perambur became friends while working in a private company. On June 27, both of them planned to host a party. As part of the plan, they booked two rooms at a lodge in Nungambakkam.
After a while, the woman from Perambur invited two of her male friends. Later, the 23-year-old woman left the party, and went to sleep in another room. However, when she woke up, she was shocked to find one of the men invited to the party sleeping on her bed, the police said.
Complaint filed
Based on her mother’s advice, the woman filed a complaint with the Thousand Lights Police.
The police arrested Manaase of Kodungaiyur and the complainant’s woman acquaintance, after conducting an inquiry.
