A 20-year-old college student died and a 24-year-old man sustained serious injuries in a suspected murder and attempted suicide case in RC Puram on Monday.
The deceased, identified as Ramya, was a second-year student at a local college. Preliminary investigation suggested that her alleged partner Akula Praveen attacked her with a knife, leading to her death on the spot and then inflicted injuries on his body.
Praveen was shifted to a nearby hospital where he is undergoing treatment.
A case has been booked by the RC Puram police of the Cyberabad commissionerate and an investigation is underway to ascertain the circumstances leading up to the incident.
