A 17-year-old student who was returning home from tuition was abducted by two men on scooter at knife point to rob his phone and ₹100 in Malleswaram on Saturday evening.
The victim, Kushal B. Gowda, a resident of Yelahanka New Town is pursuing his II PU, and was attending coaching classes on weekends.
While he was waiting for a bus at around 6 p.m., two men on a scooter approached him and the pillion rider pulled out a knife threatening him to stab if he did not accompany them. Scared Kushal followed their instructions and the accused rode triples towards Yeshwanthpur while he was sitting in the middle.
The pillion rider threatened him to handover the valuables and snatched his mobile phone worth ₹15,000 and stopped close to a bus stop and demanded cash. Kushal handed over ₹100 which he had. The accused dropped Kushal and sped away. Kushal managed to contact his family and based on their advise approached the police to file a complaint. The police based on his complaint, registered a case of robbery and are now verifying the CCTV footage from in and around to identify the accused.
