Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday reviewed the status of the major construction projects undertaken in the capital city of Amaravati, warning the institutions, which have been alllotted land, that delays would no longer be tolerated.

Addressing a high-level review meeting on the Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) on Tuesday, Mr. Naidu met the heads of educational institutions, tech companies, healthcare providers, hotel chains, religious bodies, and government agencies which had been allotted land in the capital region.

With 947 acres allotted to 72 organisations, the Chief Minister made it clear: “You must begin and complete the construction works on schedule — no exceptions, no excuses.”

Asserting that there must be no delays whatsoever in the approval process, Mr. Naidu, underscoring the government’s commitment to fast-tracking development in Amaravati, said, “If there’s any bottleneck, don’t approach the officials — come directly to me.” 

As per the preliminary timelines shared during the meeting, three institutions promised to begin construction within a month, 15 institutions committed to starting work within two months, 13 within five months, and 17 institutions assured they would begin the work within six months.

So far, the Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) has allotted 947 acres to 72 institutions for various sdevelopmental activities in Amaravati. 

The meeting discussed the land parcels allocated for various sectors, including commercial enterprises, educational institutions, hotels, offices, healthcare centres, religious establishments, IT and tech parks, and government buildings.

Top executives, institutional heads, and officials from the organisations concerned participated in the meeting. The government is actively collecting detailed plans and firm commitments from each institution to ensure that Amaravati’s development regains momentum and stays on course.
