Nitesh Kumar Vyas, Additional Secretary (UT), Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) recently held a review on implementation of Central schemes and the new criminal laws with Chief Minister N. Rangasamy, Home Minister A. Namassivayam, and officials.

An official press release said during the discussions on toning up the implementation of welfare schemes, Mr. Rangasamy suggested age relaxation of candidates applying for government jobs as several vacancies were being filled up after a delay of several years.

In addition to U. Lakshmikandhan, MLA, top officials including Ravi Ranjan, Second-in-Command (CPD/UT), MHA’s Crisis Preparedness Directorate, Chief Secretary Sharat Chauhan, R. Kesavan and Mohammed Ashan Abid, Secretaries to Puducherry government participated in the review.
