Lions Club members distribute medicines, essentials in old age home

Members of the Lions Club of Vijayawada rural, visited an old age home in Kesarapalli village, Gannavaram mandal and distributed medicines, provisions, and vegetables to the elderly residents.

Club president P. Kiran Kumar, secretary Ravi Suresh Babu, treasurer K.S.R.K. Prasad, doctors L. Surendra Babu and D. Suvarna Babu participated in the programmme.

Speaking on the occasion, club secretary Mr. Suresh Babu said: “Medical camps have been conducted in more than 100 villages. During the camps free cataract surgeries were performed for senior citizens and spectacles distributed. Additionally, we’ve planted more than 1,000 saplings and distributed books to 1,500 students in villages over the past few years.”
