As many as 40 students were assisted with their higher education during the special grievance meeting held here on Wednesday.
The aim of the higher education grievance meeting headed by the District Collector Simranjeet Singh Kahlon was to ensure that all students following their school education have stepped into colleges for further education.
During the first grievance meeting held on June 19, steps were taken to assist 70 students for their higher education.
Those students who have failed in their class X and XII board examinations, or those students who could not continue their higher education due to their financial status, identified by the teachers, could reach out to the officials during the grievance meeting.
By linking such students with the teachers at their schools, the district administration would help them and provide them with the necessary assistance to continue their education.
Mr. Simranjeet Singh Kahlon informed that the students who could not be present physically could also contact the control room through the contact number issued by the district administration.
