The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) has created a record of sorts by reaching out to 50 lakh families in just 18 days as part of its door-to-door campaign on the coalition government’s achievements in the last one year, during which the party cadres are also gathering public feedback on the performance of the ruling parties.

Swarna Andhra Pradesh-2047 Vision and Super-6 schemes are being highlighted by the TDP leaders and grassroots cadre. They are also finding out what more the people are expecting from the government.

The campaign titled ‘Suparipalana Lo Tholi Adugu’ (the first step in good governance) was launched by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu in Kuppam on July 2, and IT Minister Nara Lokesh in Mangalagiri.

The TDP cadres are explaining to people about the government’s welfare and development initiatives, so that those eligible for various schemes can avail of the benefits, a release issued by the TDP said.

The campaign aims to inform citizens about major welfare schemes such as pensions, recruitment of teachers, Thalliki Vandhanam, Anna Canteens, and Deepam-2, create awareness about investments being mobilised and jobs being provided through various projects in the State.

The TDP leaders are distributing pamphlets customised for the three regions of Uttarandhra, the other coastal districts and Rayalaseema. These leaflets contain details of the region-specific development programmes, making it easy for the people to understand the progress being achieved.

Mr. Lokesh is monitoring the campaign by keeping in touch with the people’s representatives, leaders and workers. The campaign is structured in such a way that the Ministers can cover up to 85 constituencies. The houses covered by each worker are being tracked and updated daily on a central dashboard.
