Nandyal Member of Parliament Byreddy Shabari has urged Union Civil Aviation Minister Kinjarapu Rammohan Naidu to provide night land facility at Kurnool airport apart from operating more services from Kurnool.

Ms. Shabari met the Civil Aviation Minister in Delhi on Monday (July 21) and submitted a representation seeking night landing facility at the Orvakal airport, Kurnool. Though flights have been operating to various destinations from Orvakal airport, there is a demand for night landing facility as it would be more convenient for the people and the facility would also increase the number of flights to the airport.

The MP also sought daily flight services between Kurnool and Vijayawada. Flight services between these two destinations have started from July 2 this year. Currently, flight services are operated between the two destinations on three days of a week.

Ms. Shabari also wanted the Civil Aviation Ministry to introduce Chennai-Tirupati-Kurnool-Chennai services. She also urged Mr. Rammohan Naidu to officially announce the Orvakal airport after freedom fighter Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy.
