The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red alert for four districts in Telangana, warning of very heavy to extremely heavy rainfall on Tuesday (July 22, 2025).

Districts under red alert

According to a special weather bulletin from the IMD Hyderabad Centre, the four districts of Kumaram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Nirmal and Peddapalli are expected to experience intense rainfall at isolated locations.

Orange alert for six dists

An orange alert, indicating the possibility of heavy to very heavy rain, was issued for Adilabad, Nizamabad, Jagtial, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Mulugu and Bhadradri Kothagudem districts.

Yellow alert

A yellow alert, indicating heavy rainfall, was issued for Rajanna Sircilla, Karimnagar, Khammam, Mahabubabad, Warangal, Hanumakonda, Jangaon, Siddipet, Sangareddy, Medak and Kamareddy districts.

Hyderabad weather forecast

A generally cloudy sky would cover Hyderabad with the likelihood of light to moderate rain or thundershowers, accompanied by gusty winds in some areas, the report said.
