The South Western Railway (SWR) will operate a special train between Bengaluru and Karwar to clear extra rush of passengers during the Ganesha Chaturthi.
A release here said Train No. 06569 Sir M. Visvesvaraya Terminal Bengaluru (SMVTB)–Madgaon Express Special leaves SMVT Bengaluru at 1 p.m. on August 26 (Tuesday) to reach Madgaon at 5.30 a.m. the next day.
In the return direction, Train No. 06570 leaves Madgaon at 6.30 a.m. on August 27 (Wednesday) to reach SMVT Bengaluru at 11.40 p.m. the same day.
The train will run with 16 coaches and stop at Chikkabanavar, Kunigal, Channarayapatna, Hassan, Sakleshpur, Subrahmanya Road, Kabakaputtur, Bantwal, Surathkal, Mulki, Udupi, Kundapur, Byndoor, Bhatkal, Murdeshwar, Honnavar, Kumta, Gokarna Road, Ankola, and Karwar stations in both directions.
Hubballi-Mangaluru
Train No. 07341 SSS Hubballi–Mangaluru Central Express Special leaves Hubballi at 4 p.m. on August 26 to reach Mangaluru Central at 11.45 a.m. the next day.
In the return direction, Train No. 07342 leaves Mangaluru Central at 2.15 p.m. on August 27 to reach SSS Hubballi at 9.45 a.m. the next day.
The train will stop at SMM Haveri, Harihar, Davangere, Birur, Arsikere, Tumakuru, Yeshwantpur, Kunigal, Channarayapatna, Hassan, Sakleshpur, Subrahmanya Road, Kabakaputtur, and Bantwal stations in both directions.
It will run with 17 coaches comprising one each AC-2 and 3 tier, 10 sleeper class, three general second class, and two second class luggage-cum-brake van coaches.
