As a gentle rain kept falling through the day in Hyderabad and the rest of Telangana, India Meteorological Department has forecast more rain; isolated places in 14 districts of Telangana were forecast to receive heavy rainfall on Friday (July 25, 2025). And, thunderstorms accompanied with lightning and gusty winds (30-40 kmph) are very likely to prevail in all districts. 

The IMD issued the yellow [heavy rainfall] alert to Kumaram Bheem Asifabad, Adilabad, Nirmal, Mancherial, Nizamabad, Jayashankar Bhupalapally, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Khammam, Warangal, Hanumakonda, Jangaon, Medak and Kamareddy.

Hyderabad and its surrounding areas are very likely to receive light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied with gusty winds.

Bejjur in Asifabad recorded the highest rainfall, from Wednesday to Thursday morning, of 236.8 mm, followed by 218.5 mm in Venkatapuram in Mulugu and 145 mm in Manakondur of Karimnagar.
