The drizzle in Hyderabad turned to light-heavy rain in some parts of Hyderabad Thursday (July 24, 2025) late afternoon. Meteorological Centre Hyderabad issued an update around 5.30 p.m. stating light spell (up to 1 cm/hr) is expected in all parts of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) till 7.15 pm.
In some parts of the city, in and around Jubilee Hills, the intensity of rain was relatively more in the late afternoon. The highest rainfall recorded in the GHMC limits till Thursday late afternoon [4.00 p.m.] was 10.3 mm in Secunderabad circle.
And, in its impact based forecast for the city and its surrounding areas, it stated that light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied with gusty winds (30-40 kmph) are very likely to occur in the city on Friday (July 25, 2025). Meanwhile, the water level in Hussain Sagar was at +513.18 m, very close to the Full Tank Level of +513.41m, in the afternoon.
