Bomb threat to school turns out be a hoax

A bomb threat issued to a school in Pandalgudi turned out be a hoax on Wednesday.

The police said that the school received a call in which the caller said that an explosive had been planted on the school campus. However, a thorough check done by the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad found no explosive.

Enquiry revealed that the phone number belonged to a paramilitary personnel serving in Kashmir and he had a difference of opinion with his wife, who had in the past worked in the school.

Pandalgudi police have registered a case.
