A school teacher in Theni district was arrested by police for allegedly sexually harassing a class XII school girl.
The girl studying in class XII in a private school at Chakkampatti area of Andipatti town, was allegedly sexually harassed in the classroom by an English teacher, about 15 days ago.
As the student informed her classmates, they informed the school headmaster. After inquiry with the teacher, the school administration informed the child welfare officers.
Following the investigation by the child welfare officers, a complaint was registered with the Andipatti All Women Police Station on July 29.
Based on the complaint, police arrested the school teacher. Further investigation is underway.
