The corporation will auction its open plots, over 200 square yards, in various areas on the outskirts of Hyderabad from August 4.
Telangana Rajiv Swagruha Corporation raised ₹78 crore income through sale of 401 one, two and three bedroom flats at their project in Pocharam of Ghatkesar and Bandalguda of Nagole this week. A notification for the sale of flats was issued on July 4. The lottery was held for the flats which attracted more than one application. Else, the property was allotted to the sole applicant.
The lottery for the flats in Pocharam were held on Friday and Saturday (August 2). The process began with the sale of the flats in Bandlaguda on Wednesday (July 30). Those who applied but did not get a flat there were allowed to apply for the properties in Pocharam. While ₹26 crore was generated through the sale of 131 flats in Bandalguda, the rest was from the Pocharam project. ‘No profit no loss’ method was followed in the sale.
Responding to people’s request for more time to apply for the remaining flats in the two projects, the deadline was set to August 8, said the corporation’s managing director V.P. Gautham. He said that the flats would be allotted on a ‘first come first serve basis’. This is applicable for only 1 and 2 BHKs, as per a press release issued on Saturday.
