Central Chennai Member of Parliament (MP) Dayanidhi Maran chaired the District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA) meeting at the Ripon Buildings in Chennai on Saturday.
In this session, the MP reviewed the status of ongoing and proposed schemes of the Union government being implemented by various departments in Chennai district. According to a press release, issues related to water supply, drainage, and project delays were discussed, and the MP asked authorities to expedite works and improve coordination among departments.
The meeting was attended by Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Minister P.K Sekarbabu, North Chennai MP Kalanidhi Veerasamy (Deputy Chairperson), South Chennai MP Thamizhachi Thangapandian, Chennai Mayor R. Priya, Deputy Mayor M. Magesh Kumar, Greater Chennai Corporation Commissioner J. Kumaragurubaran, Managing Director of Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board G. S. Sameeran, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Headquarters) B.Geetha, Chennai District Collector Rashmi Siddharth Zagade, MLAs, DISHA committee members and elected representatives were present.
