SCoR Zonal Office will begin operations from VMRDA Deck Building in Vizag: MP Sribharat

Visakhapatnam Member of Parliament M. Sribharat on Saturday (August 2, 2025) said that the South Coast Railway (SCoR) Zonal Office would soon become operational from the Visakhapatnam Metropolitan Region Development Authority (VMRDA) Deck building at Siripuram.

In a release, the MP stated that following discussions with the officials of South Coast Railway and the VMRDA, the operationalisation of the SCoR Zonal Office from the VMRDA office was decided as the best option. The SCoR Zonal Office is likely to begin operate by October.

“The SCoR Zonal Office will offer seamless communication facilities. Located adjacent to the Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) office, it will ensure better coordination and streamlined administration,” the MP said.

The recently designated office covers 41,500 square feet in the sixth and seventh floors of the VMRDA Deck building, providing ample space to accommodate all critical administrative wings required for a modern and efficient railway zone.
