C.V. Ganesan, Minister for Labour Welfare and Skill Development, presented awards to industries for achievement in the Occupational Health, Safety and Environment segment. He said, the day was auspicious as Chief Minister M.K. Stalin inaugurated VinFast’s electric vehicle manufacturing plant in Thoothukudi. The Directorate of Industrial Safety and Health in association with National Safety Council Tamil Nadu Chapter organised the safety award function in the city on Tuesday. Mr. Ganesan said the Skill Development initiatives of the State government aimed at creating jobs for every person in the State even as he appealed to the Industries to follow the latest technologies and Artificial Intelligence to prevent accidents at workplaces.
Lalit R. Gabhane, Director General of National Safety Council of India, and NSC Tamil Nadu chapter chairman S. Ananth, also participated.
