CM for permanent solution to traffic woes during heavy rains

Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has directed the officials to prepare special plans to resolve the traffic related problems on a permanent basis.

The Chief Minister expressed concern over the reports of traffic blockades everytime there is heavy rain in the GHMC area and instructed the officials to evolve a permanent solution to this. The focus should especially be on the Old City, he said instructing the officials to explore the possibilities for creating a pedestrian zone to address parking related problems.

Action plan should be prepared for setting up multi-level parking zones in areas like Charminar, Salarjung Museum, High Court and Osmania hospital. This would bring down the number of vehicles on the streets significantly besides effectively addressing the parking problems.
