“What I will cherish and celebrate most is the spirit of Chennai- its warmth and adaptability to people of all walks of life.

The ‘Vazhu Vazha Vidu’ (meaning Live and Let Live), saying “this captures the very essence of Chennai. With open arms, the city embraces all. It offers safety and a deep sense of belonging to both its floating population and migrants who arrive in large numbers. We don’t discriminate people and are always accommodating.”

“I admire Chennaiites for their volunteering spirit and readiness to extend a helping hand- often breaking language barriers with empathy and inclusivity. Even outsiders are made to feel completely at home.”

“The city is quick to adapt to emerging demands and develop infrastructure. Healthcare is a prime example, equipped with infrastructure designed to respond to evolving needs.”

“The Marina is dear to me. From rare beach visits as a child, it became my daily view during college days.”

“Chennai, my home city for over five decades, is an emotion. It has given me education, recognition, cherished friendships and fame”.
