Man arrested for alleged sexual assault at Kunnamangalam

The police on Sunday (August 10) arrested a man from Kunnamangalam who was accused of sexually abusing a woman while performing sorcery in the name of curing her ailments.

The 51-year-old, identified as Mohammed, was nabbed following a complaint filed by the differently-abled survivor from Perinthalmanna. The police sources said the woman was exploited with a fake marriage promise. The alleged assault took place at the suspect’s house a few months ago, they said.
