Chief Minister M.K. Stalin conducted a surprise inspection at the Kalaignar Centenary Super Speciality Hospital (KCSSH), Guindy on Saturday.
According to a press release, he inspected various units at the hospital including the emergency ward and central laboratory. The hospital’s director L. Parthasarathy informed the CM that there were 121 outpatients and 326 in-patients at the hospital, while 2,390 different kinds of tests were performed at the central laboratory during the day.
Mr. Stalin also interacted with a patient undergoing treatment for fracture and later took a look at the staff attendance registry, in-patient and out-patient treatment registries and drug stock registry. He advised the hospital staff to maintain cleanliness and hygiene at the hospital, to ensure that patients are treated without any delay and to ensure adequate stock of essential drugs.
Public Works Minister E.V. Velu, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Minister T.M. Anbarasan, Member of Parliament T.R. Baalu and Health Secretary P. Senthil Kumar were present.
